The GP Education Program aims to:
GP Education Advisory Committee
The Education Advisory Committee has the role of providing advice, liaison and feedback to the GP Education Program Manager, Susie Lidstone. The committee comprises of 5 GPs and the Program Manager. Committee meetings are held on a quarterly basis to discuss possible education activities and associated issues.
Continuing Professional Development
OGPN runs regular CPD events for GPs which can be viewed on our Education events (GP) page {link}. We also encourage alternative types of learning such as Clinical Audits, Small Group Learning (SGL), Supervised Clinical Attachments and Learning Plan and Portfolios.
The Network has developed a Small Group Learning starter kit to assist GPs in setting up a Small Group Learning module and guide them through the process. This kit can be sent as a CD ROM (call the GP Education Program Manager) or the documents can be downloaded individually below:
